Spirit of Texas BBQ is a barbecue restaurant that offers a range of smoked, roasted, and grilled barbeque goodness – including beef, brisket, and sausages. We opened Spirit of Texas BBQ so that people here in southern California can experience true Central Texas barbecue.
BBQ was so good! I have had bbq in Texas and this is just as good. Service was great and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We even got to chat with the owner for a awhile and he really made us feel at home. Got the rib tips (super moist and juicy), pulled pork (some of the best I have ever had), and the brisket sandwich. Finally a BBQ place in CA that got it right!
My group stopped here before going to Beyond and omg it was so yummy. We called to ask if we could order ahead and we were able to text in our order and it was ready for us when we arrived. We ordered pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, brisket, and pulled pork. The brisket and pulled pork were definitely my favorite. So tender and juicy!
The food: DELICIOUS! We had the brisket and beef prime ribs, the meat was so juicy and delicious, it melted in your mouth. Beans were awesome, but the potatoes... yummy! Potato salad was also really good. Dine in if you want banana pudding, it's complimentary on the house and it so good.
Amazing experience! Completely lived up to every other positive review on here. Service was great. We were given as many samples of the meat as we wanted to try before we even ordered. Everything was beyond delicious.
First time trying and would go back again. Not only does the smell from outside bring you in but the customer service they provide... excellent!! We decided to have a to go plate of ribs, brisket and Mac and cheese and did not disappoint. May need to try out more food for sure.
